"I dont know her.The NIA has wrongly recorded my statement".The latest claim of David Headley on Ishrat Jahan has once again exposed our faulty system. We at our office during one of our useful dinner table discussions were convinced beyond doubt that the PP had put a word in his mouth about Ishrat being a Let operative.Ensuring justice is far more important than appeasing the political bosses and getting Padma awards. Hope we will mature as a civilized nation someday.

Without touching the ongoing controversy about Bharat Mata Ki Jai, I would like to assert that the most raised slogan during the independence movement, undoubtedly, was 'Inquilab Zindabad'. Urdu language is very powerful, so are its slogans that played an important role in India's freedom struggle. But unfortunately the language was crushed once the country attained Independence though Maulana Azad was the first education minister and Nehru, a self proclaimed Urdu wala, was the first Prime Minister.

So sad to hear about the death of legendary NZ cricketer Martin Crowe due to Cancer. I look at him as someone who revolutionized the one day cricket by introducing the pinch hitting concept with Mark Greatbatch making use of 15 over field restrictions. He perhaps was the first ODI captain who started the bowing attack with an spinner Deepak Patel. The world of cricket, I m sure, will never see another Martin Crowe.
